O tanjoubi omedettou imoto!!

Today, September 22, we celebrate a momentous occasion! This is the date that a very, very special and a very, very important person came to be. Yes folks! This is the date that my favorite cousin came was born. But before the celebration took place, I had to endure a slow, boring and utterly frustrating day at the office.

The day started out just fine as usual – woke up the usual time, ate and left home at the usual time. I then arrived here at the office 20 minutes before the call-time and I figured that I’ll just do a workshift today so I can leave the office and start the birthday celebration early. Just when I logged in my workstation, I noticed something different – I have no internet connection!! WTF!!!! I then transferred my LAN cable to another node (which is what I usually do) only to find out that it was also internet-less. I got impatient and reported this immediately to the IT department since chatting, blogging and surfing the net is my life! I got an incident number but no actions were done. A couple of minutes passed and I then noticed that the problem wasn’t only on my node but it was also affecting 80% of the project. Some lucky few still had their internet access and proceed with their day-to-day work. But for the majority of us, it was one lllllloooooooonnnnnggggg f*ckin day! The sad part is that I left my Nintendo DS lite at home so I have nothing to keep me busy. After almost 8 hours of looking at my monitor, I decided to log out of office early and then am off to the birthday celebration.

The celebration was to be held at my cousin’s place which is conveniently located near my office. I got there at about eight o’clock and just as I am about to hop onto the elevator, another cousin (which is also there for the celebration) called my attention. We then went to the birthday girl’s place together. We had a little celebration to remember the day with just enough food and pizzas for everyone. To my surprise, I got stuffed quickly and hadn’t had the pleasure of enjoying the scrumptious cake (which I forgot the name). We did a lot of chit-chat just to catch-up on things. Another purpose of me going to her place is to copy a lot of anime series – consisting of code geass 1 and r2, ouran host highschool, read or die OVA and I forgot the other one. There were a lot of anime and my 30 gb ipod isn’t enough so I decided to head on back there next week to copy some more. Her mother (which is working overseas) called just to greet her happy birthday and to have a friendly banter with us. We had so much fun that we lost track of the time until a phone call reminded us what time it was. The leftover pizzas and some portion of the cakes were given to us to bring home to those that are waiting for us. At about 11:30 p.m. we bid adieu to one another and I arrived home at about 1 in the morning.

Before I hit the sack, I said to myself “damn! We better have an internet connection tomorrow or else…”
